Ladies
Day
Every spring the ladies of our
congregation host a day of
inspiration for woman of all ages.
The day is filled with singing,
praying and moments of learning
offered through the teaching of a
speaker selected by our elders. Part
of the days celebration includes a
fellowship meal served by the men of
our congregation. There are
discussion groups or breakout
sessions to discuss with each other
on a more personal level. These are
designed to bring a more practical
approach to implementing what we
have learned throughout the day. The
groups are available for woman of
all ages. The cost for this
wonderful day of worship is a food
item that will then be distributed
through our benevolence program. We
invite you to celebrate our Saviour
with us.
Life
Groups
This is an opportunity to get
together in an informal setting to
fellowship and discuss specific
ministries. These groups offer a
chance to get to know members of the
congregation on a more personal
level. The groups usually meet once
a month to discuss upcoming events,
brainstorm new ideas/ministries and
enjoy one another's company. The
groups are divided based on city
location/proximity to one another.
These groups are great for bringing
someone in who doesn't know Christ
but is intimidated by the formal
setting of the worship.
Youth
Rally
Our Annual Youth Rally has occurred
every year in September since 1995.
We have had a tremendous response
the past several years averaging
around 80-90 teenagers ages 13-19.
Although the youth rally is
specifically designed for this age
group, we encourage everyone to take
advantage of an opportunity to
participate in some way and worship
our Lord. This ministry started its
reach to the surrounding area and
has continued to grow reaching many
outside the state. From oil changes
to nursing home visits, the youth
rally provides something for
everyone. We offer a life skills
course designed to encourage team
work and effective communication. On
Saturday evenings, a capella singing
entertainment, dinner and fellowship
are offered at the local civic
center banquet room.
Matthew 22:37-40 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?
And he said to him, You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And
a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.
